Timing in life is an interesting thing, it never quite matches up, right? Chris and Andrea met when Andrea began attending his church in San Francisco, CA after graduating from college. After knowing each other for three years, the timing was finally right. 21 months and many dates after their relationship began, Christopher proposed at Golden Gate Park. When I met Christopher and Andrea, it was amazing to me to see two hearts so aligned. Their shared love of serving, eating good food, and their care and concern for others was so evident. I was beyond thrilled to be asked to capture their wedding day.
Christopher and Andrea's wedding day was nothing short of magical. In the morning, the threat of rain loomed overhead and we were all praying for the weather to turn out favorably. We were all still nervous during Christopher and Andrea's first look, as dark clouds seemed to be rolling in. But to our surprise, the sun came out gloriously and during the ceremony, held at Aracely Cafe in San Francisco, I can't even count how many times I wanted to squeal as I watched the sun begin to set beautifully behind Christopher and Andrea as they said their vows and committed their marriage to the Lord. It was absolutely a moment I will never forget!
We ventured over to a beautiful rocky peninsula on Treasure Island and captured some post-sunset portraits. I love that time because it's a quiet moment away not only to capture portraits in stunning light, but to allow couples a few minutes to soak in the newness of their marriage.
The night ended with so many laughs, tears, and fully stomachs. I can't imagine a better way to have spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Here's to the happy couple, Christopher and Andrea! Many blessings in your married life!
